Gmail access
If you connect Gmail, Nishchint has read-only access. It can find and import your documents, but it cannot send, delete or modify anything in your inbox - and you can disconnect it anytime.

Nishchint is where you’re trusting us with things like ID proofs, policies and certificates. That deserves straight answers, not marketing language - here’s what we think you’re actually wondering.
Does Nishchint have access to my personal data?
No. Your documents are never accessed or read by people.
Your documents are protected with AES-256 encryption at the application level, as well as encryption in the cloud, both while stored and while being transferred.
Your documents are yours. No person gets access to them.
Is my data encrypted?
Yes, everywhere that matters:
- At rest: AES-256 encrypted on our servers
- In transit: TLS 1.3 protects every connection
- Backups: encrypted the same way as live data
Even if someone accessed our servers directly, they couldn’t read your documents without the encryption keys.
Is Nishchint end-to-end encrypted?
Yes. Nishchint uses end-to-end encryption with AES-256 encryption at the application level.
Your documents are also encrypted at the cloud level, both at rest and in transit, including the databases and private storage where your documents are kept.
Documents are processed by automated systems, not manually reviewed by people.

What happens if I disconnect Gmail?
Nishchint immediately stops accessing your inbox. Documents already imported stay in your vault unless you choose to delete them.
How is data fetched from Gmail protected?
Nishchint connects through Google's official, read-only API access - never your password. That connection is encrypted in transit, used only to find and import your documents, and can be revoked at any time from your Google account or from within Nishchint.
How does Nishchint use AI?
Automated systems - not people - read your documents to extract details like dates, names and document types, so Nishchint can organise them for you. Your documents are not used to train general-purpose AI models, and are shared with AI providers only to the extent needed to process them for your account.
What happens if Nishchint's systems are ever breached?
If we ever discover an incident affecting your data, we'll notify you promptly and take immediate steps to contain and fix it. Transparency comes first, even when the news isn't good.
Can I delete my documents and account?
Yes, anytime. Deleting a document or your account removes it from Nishchint's systems within 30 days, and from backups within 90 - it's your data, so the choice is always yours.
Where is Nishchint's data hosted?
Your documents live on secure, access-controlled cloud infrastructure, with backups encrypted the same way as live data. We don't publish exact server locations for security reasons, but our hosting is chosen to meet the standards required to serve Indian users under Indian data protection law.
How do you test and review your security?
We follow secure development practices, monitor our systems for unusual activity, and review our security posture on an ongoing basis as Nishchint grows. As we scale, we plan to add regular independent security testing to that process.
